Richard Libby
Managing Director, Boston
With more than 25 years experience working at consumer-based companies in an entrepreneurial role, Rick
Libby oversees the day-to-day operations of Student Advantage. Prior to Student Advantage Rick founded and
served as President of The Traveling Vineyard, America's largest home wine tasting company. Prior to the
Traveling Vineyard, Rick served as President of MoveCentral, Inc. under his leadership, the company made
the Inc. 500 Fastest Growing Companies list twice and was acquired by Monster.com in June 2000. Previous
to MoveCentral, Rick was a senior executive at Cendant Corporation where he developed new products across
the travel, real estate and membership businesses of the Company. Rick honed his general management and
sales and marketing skills in the hospitality industry with Marriott, Residence Inns, Summerfield Suites
and as a partner/owner of CondoNetwork, America's leading condominium rental reservation center. Rick is
a graduate of Southern New Hampshire University. |

Shawn McCarthy
Managing Director, Wide Area Commerce Solutions
As Vice President of Wide Area Commerce Solutions, Shawn leads CBORD's efforts in providing its campus card
system customers with a wide range of solutions to bring their student debit card programs to off-campus merchants.
Before joining CBORD, Shawn held the position of Director of Business Development at Wright Express, a leading
provider of payment processing and information management services to the U.S. commercial and government vehicle
fleet industry. |

Phil Mazarakis
Director of IT, Boston
Phil has more than 15 years of technology experience working in a wide variety of environments. This experience
includes working for Fortune 500 companies like ADP and Smith Barney, in addition to working for the Federal
Transportation Board and several startup enterprises. When not working with Student Advantage's web applications
and servers, he likes to travel with his family and do a host of geeky tech things. |

Samantha McDuffee
Senior Manager, Marketing, Boston
As Senior Manager of Marketing, Samantha leads the marketing team in strategic development and tactical
implementation of Student Advantage's marketing initiatives including communications, branding, advertising,
lead generation, public relations and company events. In her previous role as a Senior Marketing Associate at
Student Advantage, Samantha was responsible for internal and external communication tools, retention strategies
and project management. She also draws from her experience as a former consultant for several startup enterprises,
handling e-mail communications, website development and community relations responsibilities within consumer-facing
industries. Samantha received her BS in applied psychology with a focus in writing from Ithaca College. When not
working to optimize Student Advantage's marketing campaigns, she provides marketing support for several local
non-profit organizations and attends adoption events for Black Cat Rescue, Inc. |

Sami Takieddine
Director of Operations, Atlanta
Sami has been with Student Advantage since being a student himself. Over the past 7+ years he has filled a
variety of roles: Campus Manager, Community Manager, Merchant Sales and Client Relationship Manager to name
a few. As the Director of Operations for CBORD's Off-Campus Commerce division, he works with both the Student
Advantage and UGryd products and the customer service and account management teams. Prior to joining Student
Advantage, Sami taught English in Japan. Sami holds a BA and MBA from Emory University in Atlanta, the city
where he currently resides. |

Ed Vargas
Director of Business Development, Boston
Ed has 20+ years of achievements in sales and sales management of advertising/marketing strategies and
programs. Prior to joining Student Advantage, Ed was President and Owner of Targeted Marketing Strategies
where he represented such notable publications as Good Housekeeping, Women's Day, and Smart Money among
others. Ed also draws from his management experience as a former senior executive with a media division of
Time Inc. in various sales and management capacities, selling strategic marketing programs to national/global
companies. Ed is a graduate from the College of The Holy Cross in Worcester, MA. He is fluent in Spanish,
resides in Reading, MA, and is active in his community coaching youth travel Soccer and Baseball. |
