Brothers Paul and Sam Swanson find a way to stand out in the student market without spending a lot of money. While there are a lot of college students in busy downtown Boulder, Paul and Sam were looking for a way to stand out without spending a lot of money. "We heard about Student Advantage from a representative of the company, and thought, 'why not'?", Paul Swanson said via email. That "why not?" increased student traffic at Bagel Bros through advertising on studentadvantage.com. Swanson elaborated, "Some [students] have mentioned seeing the business [at studentadvantage.com]. This is good news since we do not have [the Bagel Bros.] website up yet." Website advertising has become increasingly important as at least 79% of college students spend at least an hour per day online (xplorecommunications). Swanson says about half of the students who show the Student Advantage Card have become returning customers. Posting Student Advantage materials has also increased sales, as many students come in to check the place out and realize they can use the Card after seeing the Student Advantage logo on the cash register. Swanson says in closing that if he would change anything, he would only order more stickers. BE THE NEXT SUCCESS STORY |
