Boston, September 8, 2005 -
CollegeFest, the nation's most rockin' and outrageous college festival, is back for
its 20th anniversary September 17th and 18th at the Hynes Convention Center with title
sponsor Student Advantage. College students from all over Boston will spend
the weekend listening to live music, sampling tasty treats, and gathering a sack full
of freebies including iPods (one will be given away every hour of CollegeFest!), free
airfare from JetBlue and free massages from Kotex! New this year, Student Advantage
Cardholders get FREE admission and VIP treatment -- they can skip the line and have
the $10 admission fee waived.
Bands performing include:
- Averi - recently nominated for four Boston Music Awards, they have opened for Matchbox20. Gavin DeGraw and Guster in support of their stunning sophomore album Drawn to Revolving Doors.
- Toby Lightman - spent the past year touring with the likes of Howie Day, Gavin DeGraw, Josh Kelley and Edwin McCain to promote her debut album Little Things and has been seen on the late night couches of Letterman, Conan, and Craig Kilborn.
- Sucka Brown - In a world full of look, sound and speak-a-likes, Sucka Brown bucks the trend like a mechanical bull on speed, coupling tracks packed with soulful bounce and pop sensibility with a high energy live show.
- And Bayside, Melodrome, Aberdeen City, illScarlett, Adam Richman, Paranoid Social Club, Unbusted, Famous and many more!
